Since 2000, the role of the sensor is to detect the physical signal and then provide it to the upper layer for use, so it is a single MEMS and analog front end, doing some digital circuit signal processing, and then directly converting the physical signal into an electrical signal to provide it, and the relative function is relatively single.
Smart sensors are sensors with information processing functions. Dr. Finkbeiner demonstrated the basic structure of smart sensors with an example composed of MEMS accelerometers, MEMS gyroscopes, ASics, and MCUS. "This is what we call a smart sensor, and of course we also run software on this sensor."
Germany's Bosch Group said it will buy the assets of US chipmaker TSI Semiconductor to expand its semiconductor business in silicon carbide chips (SiC), foreign media reported. Bosch and TSI have reached an agreement, but did not disclose details of the acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approval.
Measuring just 4.2 x 3.5 x 3 mm³ (width x length x height), the Bosch BMV080 sensor is more than 450 times smaller than any comparable device on the market. With its tiny size and fanless, non-invasive design, the BMV080 revolutionizes the norm. It can operate without noise, meaning that in a home or office environment, there is no disruption to sleep or work
In smart buildings, smart homes and industry 4.0 applications, all kinds of sensors and Internet of things devices need to be widely deployed. If these devices are powered by general batteries, there will be problems of battery replacement. If they can be powered by solar cells, the trouble of battery replacement can be saved, which greatly improves their practicability
BOS1901 is a single-chip piezoelectric drive with energy recovery capability based on patented CapDrive technology. It can drive drivers with up to 190 Vpk-pk waveforms while supplying voltages from a 3 to 5.5 V supply. The input digital stream is written inside the FIFO digital interface to generate the desired output waveform. The low power and small size make it ideal for a variety of applications requiring minimal power consumption and heat dissipation
The Bosch Sensortec BNO055 shuttle board is a PCB mounted with the BNO055 absolute bearing sensor. It allows easy access to the sensor's pins through a simple socket. Since all Bosch Sensortec sensor shuttle boards have the same footprint, they can be inserted into Bosch Sensortec's advanced development tools such as development boards or application boards.
Bosch Sensortec is launching the BMI323, an affordable IMU with outstanding performance and integrated features allowing a shorter development time.
Bosch has introduced the cost-effective motion sensor BMI323 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to provide high precision and efficiency for new consumer applications. Motion sensors continue to perform well in terms of accuracy and performance, and integrated capabilities will simplify and accelerate product development, opening up new opportunities for IMU in diverse consumer applications
Bosch Sensortec has released the BMP581, a pressure sensor with extremely low power consumption and high accuracy that provides altitude tracking in wearables, audibles or iot devices. The sensor can improve the flight stability and landing accuracy of drones, and help household appliances detect water levels to avoid flooding. The sensor provides excellent relative accuracy of +/-0.06hPa and typical absolute accuracy of +/-0.3hPa. Compared to the previous generation pressure sensor BMP390, it reduces current by 85%, noise by 80%, and TCO by 33%.
