Bosch Sensortec's BNO055 is the first product in the application specific sensor node (ASSN) series to realize intelligent 9-axis absolute positioning sensor, including sensor and sensor fusion in a single package.
Bosch Sensortec BNO055 shuttle board is a PCB with BNO055 absolute orientation sensor installed. It can easily access the sensor pin through a simple socket. Since all Bosch Sensortec sensor shuttles have the same footprint, they can be inserted into Bosch Sensortec's advanced development tools (such as development boards or application boards). Of course, BNO055 shuttle board can also be used for user's own implementation.
BNO055 is a system package (SiP), integrating a three-axis 14 bit accelerometer, a three-axis 16 bit gyroscope (with a range of ± 2000 degrees/second), a three-axis geomagnetic sensor and a 32-bit microcontroller, running the company's BSX3.0 FusionLib software. Only 5.2 x 3.8 x 1.1 mm3, much smaller than comparable discrete or system board solutions.
