Designed to get users up and running rapidly with sub-GHz radio design, Rohm and AMIHO Technology have launched their latest evaluation kit.
Rohm’s BD9397EFV series offers high-efficiency drivers for white LEDs and large LCD panels.
Rohm has unveiled a new 12V to 76V input, 3A variable output voltage, DC-DC buck converter with integrated 76V MOSFET optimized for high-power (high voltage x large current) applications such as motors, factory automation equipment, communications infrastructure, and industrial machinery.
Rohm has developed a new class of power receiver controller ICs compatible with the latest USB Power Delivery (Rev2.0) and Type-C (Rev1.1) standards. The BM92TxxMWV series supports not only conventional USB power supply up to 7.5W, but the newly expanded power range as well up to 100W (20V/5A) for USB Type-C connected devices.
Rohm’s BD9A301MUV single synchronous DC-DC buck switching regulator with built-in low on-resistance power MOSFETs. The device provides a current up to 3A and its SLLM control provides exceptional efficiency characteristics in light-load conditions.
Rohm’s BD768xFJ is an AC/DC quasi-resonant controller type DC-DC converter that provides an optimum system for all products that include an electrical outlet. The device targets applications such as industrial equipment, AC adapters and household appliances.
A versatile USB-based platform designed to test the functional operation of various sensor types, the Rohm sensor evaluation kit includes one Base board and several Breakout boards, making them easy to implement on the most popular boards and on standard PCs.
Rohm’s BH6260MWX SPST USB switch IC. The device includes a single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switch and an inverter analog switch in a single package. Analog SW0 and SW1 can pass a USB 2.0 high-speed signal while analog SW2 and SW3 pass a UART signal.
The ROHM Sensor Evaluation Kit is a USB-based platform designed to test the functional operation of various sensor types. It includes one Base board and several Breakout boards, making them easy to implement on the most popular boards and on standard PCs.
Rohm’s BD37534FV audio sound processor IC is aimed at automotive, mini Compo, micro Compo and TV audio applications. Featuring an integral 3-band equalizer, the devices typical functions are stereo input selector, input gain control, main volume, loudness, 5-channel fader volume, LPF for a subwoofer, and mixing input.
Rohm’s BH1745NUC digital colour sensor IC with I2C bus interface. The IC senses red, green and blue light (RGB) and converts them to digital values. It has a high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and ‘excellent’ ir-cut characteristics. This makes it ideal for obtaining illuminance and colour temperature of ambient light for adjusting TV LCD backlights, mobile phones and tablet PCs. The device makes it possible to detect a very wide light intensity range, says the company.
The Rohm Multisense Evaluation Kit add-on sensor platform, opening up hot swappable sensor capability to projects. Users can test and interchange six of the most popular sensors from Rohm for portable applications on most platforms with USB host support.
Rohm’s BD9G101G simple step-down switching regulators are featuring integrated internal high-side 42V power MOSFETs. The devices provide 0.5A DC output with a fixed 1.5MHz operating frequency, allowing the use of small inductors and ceramic capacitors. They have built-in phase compensation components and are available in SOT-23-6 (SSOP6) package.
This rise in demand has been fuelled by increasing computerisation in the automotive and industrial markets, along with the rapidly expanding current control application sector and the trend towards high-current circuit designs.
Rohm Semiconductor has introduced a new intelligent power module (IPM) family optimized for high speed and power-efficient operation in motor driving and inverter applications. The 600V modules integrate a range of components such as gate drivers, bootstrap diodes, IGBTs or ROHM’s proprietary Low Ron SuperJunction Power MOSFETs (PrestoMOS) as well as a fly wheel diode (FWD) within a single compact package.
The i.MX 6SoloLite processor possesses a market-proven track record as an application platform for battery-driven applications where power consumption is critical, such as e-books, wearable tech, tablet PCs, portable terminals for industrial equipment, and other portable devices.
