Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a new line of Hi-TMP surface mount wet tantalum capacitors operating at temperatures up to +200C in a compact C housing code. The T24 series offers a smaller size and footprint than equivalent through-hole and cladding molded high-temperature devices, designed to make more efficient use of board space and improve reliability for oil exploration, defense and aviation radar applications.

The device is optimized for timing, energy retention, filtering, and pulse power applications, providing thermal shock capability of 300 cycles and a longer life of 2000 hours at +200 ° C, eliminating the need for devices with larger holes in harsh environments. Measuring 9 mm x 7.1 mm x 7.4 mm, the capacitor features a tantalum metal housing with a glass tantalum seal.

Capacitors are roHS, halogen-free, and Vishay Green compliant. The 200C rated derating voltage is 45VDC and 75VDC, and the capacitance values are 33µF and 10µF, respectively, with capacitance tolerances of ±10% and ±20% standard. The device operates in a temperature range of -55 ° C to +85 ° C, with voltage derating to +200 ° C, and provides a maximum ESR to 2.5 ohms at 120Hz and +85 ° C.
