Vishay – Snap-in aluminium power capacitors in compact packages down to 20mm x 25mm (PMG-SI Series)

Vishay has introduced a series of new miniature snap-in power aluminum capacitors. This series offers high capacitance from 820μF to 47,000μF in a compact case, with dimensions as small as 20mm x 25mm. The 256 PMG-SI series capacitors are designed for audio, industrial and general power applications with long life, high ripple current and low ESR. Embedded capacitors feature a cylindrical aluminum housing with a pressure relief valve and are insulated with a blue PET sleeve. The quick-plug capacitors are available in sizes from 20mm x 25mm to 35mm x 45mm and are available in 17 housing sizes and voltages. The range is from 16V to 100V. The device offers a wide temperature range from -40C to + 105C, with a lifetime of 2,000 hours at + 105C, ripple current to 4.85A, and ESR to 14mohm. As a polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a non-solid electrolyte, the 256 PMG-SI series devices are ideal for smoothing, filtering, and energy storage in pulsed power applications for audio power amplifiers, LED drivers, UPS systems, and solar microinverters. Capacitors are Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
