Vishay has introduced a series of new thick-film chip resistor dividers designed to reduce space requirements, simplify manufacturing design, and increase design flexibility for high-voltage industrial and alternative energy equipment.
The CDMV series devices have a variety of termination styles, materials and configurations, can provide operating voltages up to 1.4kV, and can provide a single component replacement for multiple discrete resistors used in voltage division applications.
A single 2512 case size consisting of two resistors. The space-saving devices released today offer a wide resistance range from 10 kohm to 75 Mohm with a maximum resistance ratio of 700: 1 and tolerances as low as ± 0.5%. The chip voltage divider has a temperature coefficient of ± 100 ppm / C and a typical TCR tracking value of ± 50 ppm / C.
For design flexibility, the CDMV series devices offer solderable, epoxy-bondable, and wire-bondable terminations with three-side wraparound or top-only flip-chip configurations. Tinned nickel barrier terminations are standard on RoHS-compliant halogen-free voltage dividers and are available in gold, palladium-silver, platinum, platinum-silver, and platinum-palladium terminations.
