Rohde & Schwarz has released the next generation R&S RTO 6GHz class oscilloscope. The instrument offers high waveform update rates, abnormal signal fidelity, a uniquely powerful digital trigger and response depth memory. The new digital oscilloscopes offer six different bandwidth models from 600MHz to 6GHz and up to 20Gsample/s sampling rates. Fully integrated time and frequency domain test solutions, protocols and logic analysis support design engineers from various industries.
In developing the new oscilloscopes, the company's engineers focus on improving their everyday availability. They are increasing productivity through a newly designed user interface. The 15.6-inch full HD screen, easy-to-use touch feature and redesigned front panel enable test engineers to quickly set up measurements. The larger screen can display the largest waveform display area, and signals can be dragged to different locations on the screen using the tested R&S SmartGrid. Application cockpit provides access to all oscilloscope applications with just one button.
The developers of the device have implemented an architecture with dedicated ASICS to optimize signal processing, providing superior acquisition rates of up to 1 million waveforms per second. This allows users to reliably detect even sporadic signal failures. The low-noise front end and single-core A/D converters have very small linear errors, providing good signal integrity at 65dBc for SFDR and excellent 9.4ENOB. This enables the user to capture all signal details with maximum accuracy.
The company's patented digital trigger system also uses this 16-bit filter signal. This allows the device to provide unprecedented trigger sensitivity and the ability to isolate even the tiniest signal details. Use hd mode to show more signal detail. This improves the vertical resolution of the oscilloscope to 16-bit digital filtering, producing clearer waveforms and less noise.
Events can be graphically isolated in time domain and frequency domain due to unique region triggers. In addition, R&S RTO6 has several features that can provide users with fast results. The user can set up a mask test with a simple touch gesture, and it is easy to identify signal abnormalities within a specified tolerance limit.
