Vector provides VN5611 and N5612 hardware. They are compact and convenient interfaces for automotive Ethernet applications. Users benefit from flexible configuration and usage options in an Ethernet environment. Features of these devices include Ethernet monitoring and separate access options to the network under test.

Two interfaces are provided for automotive Ethernet IEEE 100Base-T1/1000Base-T1 (VN5611) and standard Ethernet IEEE 100Base-TX / 1000Base-T (VN5612). These devices are ideal for portable use because of their compact format. Connect computer and power supply via USB 3.0.

These devices provide users with a transparent connection between two (automatic) Ethernet nodes for monitoring with accurate timestamps. In addition, these interfaces provide flexible configuration options to support a wide variety of application domains. In addition, separate access options to the test network can be implemented, as well as network access for simulation and test purposes. The two devices provide a switch with a maximum of two physical ports. In the simulation environment and virtual node to network connection, access to the connected car network is guaranteed. In particular, the VN5611 also supports OPEN Alliance TC10's sleep/wake mechanism.

For testing purposes, these two interfaces can be used to send error frames on separate ports. For testing or reprogramming an ECU with multiple Ethernet ports, access is separate and each port is accessed.
