Aitech Systems currently offers three new 3U VPX network security scbs, U-C8500, U-C8501 and U-C8502, which are all compliant with Open Group SOSA technology standards. Unique to the sbc series are three pillars accelerated by modern data processing: A single-board combination of CPU, iGPU, and FPGA. A high-performance CPU SoC offering a powerful internal GPU combined with an optional integrated large FPGA allows the new family to be used in a broad range of rugged defense and aerospace data-intensive applications, including AI/ML, while minimizing SWaP-C without sacrificing performance.

The series fully supports AiSecure, the company's innovative and proprietary cybersecurity framework that increases survivability and confidence by detecting and preventing accidental attacks. Inherent security features allow firmware and data protection and stop reverse engineering and tampering with system integrity, while allowing sensitive data to be transmitted and stored securely.

Highly integrated features and excellent SWaP-C make the new series ideal for several demanding defense and aerospace applications that require reliable processing of large amounts of data. These include UAV/UGV, mission computers, digital signal and image processing, SIGINT and electronic warfare.

The board offers support for up to 64GB of LPDDR4X RAM, leverages integrated GPGPU and PCIe Gen4 support, and optimizes interconnection with other boards in the system for higher performance for graphics and AI/ML applications.

Alex Trigoub, director of board-level product line at Aitech, commented: "The U-C850x series offers a better performance-to-cost ratio and better performance per watt than existing Intel sbcs. The board is also compliant with the SOSA technology standard, allowing more Faster, easier integration and upgrades while improving time-to-market and reducing risk. Featuring advanced Intel application performance, powerful video, AI and ML processing capabilities, and a large integrated FPGA on a 3U VPX SBC without wasting additional GPGPU With SWaP-C on an FPGA board, this is an impressive combination that is required by today's defense systems."
