The 200 W DC/DC converter of the PYH200 series of TDK Lambda can operate from 14 V to 160 VDC with an ultra wide input voltage of 12:1, making the converter compatible with the nominal system voltage of 24 V, 48 V, 72 V or 110 VDC. Applications include railway vehicles and trackside equipment, robots, power generation and scientific research equipment.
Outline Drawing and Pinout
These converters can provide 12v, 15v, 24v or 48v nominal output. With the trim function, they can be adjusted using resistance or external voltage to compensate for voltage drop or adapt to non-standard system voltage. PYH200 model has lockout overvoltage, non lockout (self recovery) overcurrent and over temperature protection, and adjustable undervoltage control.
All models carry low voltage and RoHS directive CE and UKCA marks, and pass IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1 safety standard certification. The external components of PYH200 series have been tested according to the railway standards of EN 50155, EN 45545-2, EN 61373 and EN 50121-3-2.
By adding an electrolytic capacitor connected to the BUS terminal, the holding time can be extended to 30 milliseconds. The PYH200 switching frequency can be synchronized with other PYH200 modules to the external clock to reduce system noise. Remote on/off is also included as standard. The overall dimensions of the half brick converter are 12.7 mm high, 61 mm wide and 57.9 mm long.
Recommended Wiring Scheme
To meet the transient and high voltage requirements at 5000 meters altitude, the power module has 3000 VAC input/output isolation, 3000 VAC input to the backplane, and 500 VAC output to the backplane. The efficiency is up to 90%, the power loss is minimized, and the product is allowed to work at the bottom plate temperature of - 40 ° C to+100 ° C. Cooling is achieved by an optional radiator or by a cold plate on the module's aluminum backplane.
