The MIC2253 is a high power density, 1 MHz PWM DC/DC boost regulator. A 12-pin 3mm x 3mm DFN package with a 3.5-A minimum switching current limit combined with a 1 MHz switching frequency allows the MIC2253 to use a smaller inductor and deliver high power in a tiny solution size.

Typical Application Circuit

The 2.5V to 10V input voltage range of the MIC2253 allows direct operation from 1 and 2 battery Li-ion as well as 3-4 battery NiCad, NIMH, alkaline or lithium batteries. Maximum battery life with low 0.1μa shutdown current guaranteed. To prevent high inrush current, the MIC2253 has a minimum soft start period of 1ms by default and can be extended with an external capacitor.
