Avnet Silica now offers Miromico's FMLR-8X-X-STLX LoRa Iot module that runs a fully compatible BLE 5.0 stack using Semtech's 2.4ghz SX1280 LoRa transceiver. Target iot applications include tracking and tracking, building automation, mining, farming, building monitoring, telemetry, remote data recording, and more. The solution does not require any additional BLE 5.0 devices.
Based on Semtech's LoRa 2.4GHz technology, Miromico provides a firmware platform that supports running multiple wireless protocols, namely LoRa and BLE 5.0, on the same microcontroller. Combining these technologies in the same wireless module is a powerful new technology. It facilitates debugging, configuration, local data monitoring, or firmware updates for IoT devices using smartphones, tablets, car navigation systems, or other iOS or Android devices. After the initialization process, it can run Laura's 2.4ghz remote applications from anywhere in the world. For this dual-protocol use case, standard iot devices typically need to integrate separate, expensive BLE chipsets to connect to mobile phones. After the initial setup through deployment, these additional BLE chipsets become redundant.
