The Texas Instruments DAC60502 12-bit DAC is a high-precision, low-power device with a voltage output. The DAC60502 provides linearity of less than 1 LSB. The high accuracy of the tiny package makes the device ideal for applications such as gain and bias calibration, current or voltage set point generation and power supply control. The DAC includes a 2.5V, 5 ppm/°C internal reference, providing a full output voltage range of 1.25V, 2.5V, or 5 V.
The DAC60502 integrated power-on-power reset circuit ensures that the DAC output power based on the state of the RSTSEL pin is at scale 0 or meso-scale and remains at that scale until the valid code is written to the device. The digital interface can be configured for SPI or I(2)C mode using SPI2C pins. In SPI mode, the DAC uses a common 3-wire serial interface and operates at clock rates up to 50 MHz. In I(2)C mode, the DAC operates in standard (100kbps), fast (400kbps), and fast (1.0 Mbps) modes.
