5 Pin Configuration and Functions
The SiO (2) capacitance isolation technology is used to isolate the input end from the output end. This function supports the working voltage up to 1.5kV (RMS) and the surge immunity of 12.8kV (PK), and the service life of the isolation barrier exceeds 40 years. It also provides lower part to part tilt and common mode noise immunity (CMTI) greater than 150V/ns.
Texas Instruments UCC21737-Q1 includes the most advanced protection functions, such as fast overcurrent and short circuit detection, fault reporting and shunt current sensing support. It also has active Miller clamp, input and output power UVLO to optimize the switching behavior and robustness of SiC and IGBT. ASC feature can force the power switch on in case of system failure. This feature increases the versatility of the driver and simplifies the system design work, size and cost.
