Texas Instruments INA241x Current Detection Amplifier

Technology Cover
Date de Parution: 2022-11-29

The INA241x is an ultra accurate bi-directional current sensing amplifier, which can measure the voltage drop of parallel resistors in a wide common mode range from - 5v to 110v, independent of the power supply voltage. High precision current measurement is achieved by combining low offset voltage (maximum ± 10 µ V), small gain error (maximum ± 0.01%) and high DC CMRR (typical 166 dB). INA241x is specially designed for bidirectional measurement of high voltage in switching systems. Large common mode voltage transients can be seen at the input of equipment.

Functional Block Diagram

The enhanced PWM suppression circuit inside the INA241x ensures minimum output signal interference due to common mode voltage transitions at the input. The INA241x operates from a single 2.7 V to 20 V supply and draws 2.5 mA of supply current. INA241x has five gain options: 10v/V, 20v/V, 50v/V, 100v/V and 200v/V. Multiple gain options allow optimization between available shunt resistor values and wide output dynamic range requirements. The working temperature range of INA241x is - 40 ° C to+125 ° C, and the space saving 8-pin SOT-23 and 8-pin vsop packages are used.
