Texas Instruments (TI) DAC63202 12 bit high precision digital to analog converter (DAC). Both this product and the DAC 53202 10 bit DAC that can also be purchased from Trader belong to TI pin compatible digital to analog converter series. Both are dual channel, buffered voltage output and current output smart devices, which can achieve rich functions with low power consumption and compact size.

5 Pin Configuration and Functions

                                         

The TI DAC63,202 DAC has buffered programmable voltage or current outputs and programmable comparator modes for all channels. The device supports high resistance power off mode and can realize high resistance output under power off condition. The DAC's output also provides a forced sensing option that can be used as a programmable comparator and current trap. The device is equipped with high resistance state and resistance pull-down power off mode, and can provide high resistance state output when VDD pin is powered off.


  

                                                         Voltage Margining and Scaling Using the DACx320

In order to communicate with the host application, the DAC63202 device integrates a 50MHz SPI compatible interface and can automatically detect I ² C. PMBus and SPI interfaces. Other important features of the DACx3202 series include user programmable nonvolatile memory, configurable multi-function general-purpose input/output (GPIO), and support for generating predefined waveforms (sine wave, cosine wave, triangle wave, and sawtooth wave). These features combine to enable the DAC63202 to be used in "processor free" applications and to achieve a reusable design.

For designers who need voltage margin and regulation, DC setpoints (for bias and calibration), and waveform generation functions, the DACx3202 device is ideal for a variety of applications, including rack servers, optical modules, interconnects between data centers (metro), high-performance computing, or ordinary laptops.
