The DS90LV019 is a driver/receiver designed for high speed and low power point-to-point interconnection applications. The device is powered by a 3.3V or 5.0V power supply and includes a differential line driver and a receiver.
Connection Diagram
The DS90LV019 has a separate drive and receiver with TTL/CMOS compatibility (DIN and ROUT). The logical interface provides the most flexibility, as four separate lines (DIN, DE, RE, and ROUT) are provided. The device also features a flow-through pin that allows the PCB to easily wire a short stub between its pin and the connector.
Block Diagram
The driver has 3.5 mA output loop current. The driver converts between TTL level (single-ended) and low voltage differential signal level. This allows high speed operation while consuming minimal power and reducing EMI. In addition, differential signaling provides common-mode noise suppression. Within the ±1V common-model range, the receiver threshold is ±100 mV and the low swing difference level is converted to the standard (TTL/CMOS) level.
