Texas Instruments AM571x Sitara ARM application processors are designed to meet the powerful processing needs of modern embedded products. These devices deliver high processing performance with the maximum flexibility of a fully integrated hybrid processor solution. These devices also combine programmable video processing with highly integrated peripherals.
The single-core ARM Cortex-A15 RISC CPU with Neon expansion and TI C66x VLIW floating-point DSP cores provide programmability. ARM processors reduce the complexity of system software by enabling developers to separate control functions from vision algorithms programmed on the DSP and coprocessor.
In addition, the company provides a complete set of development tools for ARM and C66x DSPs, including a C compiler, a DSP component optimizer that simplifies programming and scheduling, and a debug interface for viewing source code execution.
The processor family is AEC-Q100 qualified.
