The new TekSmartLab TSL3000A solution supports up to 120 instruments (30 test benches) on a single platform. In many educational institutions, implementing an efficient and fully integrated network of instruments in the classroom can be a daunting task. For example, using a LAN cable to establish a network is very expensive, time consuming and limited in flexibility, and many instruments lack a LAN port. TekSmartLab eliminates the hassle of wiring by using a Wi-Fi-USB converter to convert the instrument's USB port to a wireless interface, while providing professors with the software tools needed to effectively manage large, busy classrooms. TekSmartLab eliminates many repetitive manual tasks, saving valuable class time. Features such as intuitive laboratory layout simulation, automatic instrument configuration, and push-button report generation mean professors and students can focus on learning. TekSmartLab runs on a laboratory server and does not require any LAN cables or special instrument configurations. Professors can load instrument configurations related to different course requirements and then assign them to up to 120 instruments with a single mouse click from a central dashboard. Professors can easily remotely check the instrument status and measurement content of a specific test platform, and save student results in reports. TekSmartLab automatically records and displays asset information and tracks usage time to improve overall laboratory management. TekSmartLab supports most Tektronix and Keithley instruments for educational applications, including the Tektronix TBS1000B-EDU series, DPO / MSO2000B series and MDO3000 series oscilloscopes. AFG2021 and AFG3000C series arbitrary function generators; the company said, as well as Keithley's DMM2110 multimeter and 2231A-30-3 power supply.
