Texas Instruments' MUX36S08 and MUX36D04 (MUX36xxx) are modern complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) analog multiplexers (multiplexers). MUX36S08 provides 8: 1 single-ended channels. The MUX36D04 provides 4: 1 (8: 2) differential channels. The device works well on dual supplies (± 5V to ± 18V) or single supplies (10V to 36V). They also perform well with symmetrical power supplies (eg VDD = 12V, VSS = –12V) and asymmetric power supplies (eg VDD = 12V, VSS = –5). All digital inputs have TTL logic compatible thresholds to ensure that TTL and CMOS logic are compatible when operating within the effective supply voltage range.
They have very low on and off leakage currents, allowing these multiplexers to switch signals from high input impedance sources with minimal error. The low 45µA supply current allows use in portable applications.
