      TDK launched the B3271 * H * series of new EPCOS film capacitors. The new series of components are suitable for DC support applications with high energy and power density. The rated voltage range is 500 V DC to 1600 V DC, the capacitance range is 0.47 µ F to 170 µ F, and the maximum operating temperature is 105 ° C. These elements are rugged, self-healing, RoHS compliant, and have a typical life of 95000 hours at rated voltage and 70 ° C operating temperature.

      The new series capacitors have 27.5, 37.5 and 52.5 mm lead spacing options, and two versions of 2-pin and 4-pin are available. They have more than 90 models and are very flexible in design. To this end, TDK has launched CLARA tools to help users quickly and appropriately support DC capacitors.

      The new components have the characteristics of low self inductance (only 11.5 nH to 23 nH) and high ripple current capability, and are particularly suitable for SiC based inverters operating at high switching frequencies. In addition, they also comply with IEC 61071, AEC-Q200 and UL 810 standards, and are widely suitable for various typical industrial applications, such as frequency converters, photovoltaic inverters, electric vehicle fast chargers, and automotive applications such as on-board chargers, auxiliary drives, and power inverters.
