TDK Corporation introduced the KMS-A series of medically certified single output 15W-60W packaged power supplies. This product has a Class II input and requires no grounding, making it ideal for a range of medical, dental and home healthcare. They are also suitable for broadcasting, test and measurement, and industrial equipment applications.
The series includes three power levels of 15W, 30W and 60W, providing 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V and 24V output voltages. The no-load power consumption of KMS15A and KMS30A is less than 0.1W, while the no-load power consumption of KMS60A is less than 0.3W, and the product efficiency is as high as 89%. All models can operate over a wide range of input voltages from 90-264Vac.
The power supply is suitable for board mounting and enclosed in a UL 94V-0 rated resin case. 15W dimensions are 52.5mm x 27.5mm x 23.5mm, 30W 64mm x 45mm x 23.5mm and 60W 89mm x 63.5mm x 27mm. The product can be convection cooled at an ambient temperature of -40 ° C to + 85 ° C, and derated above 50 ° C. The maximum working height is 5,000m.
This series has been certified by UL / CSA / IEC / EN 60950-1, ANSI / AAMI ES60601-1, IEC / EN 60601-1, and carries the CE mark of low voltage and RoHS2 directive. TDK-Lambda's medical safety compliance is extended to provide 4kVac, 2 x MOPP (Patient Protection) input-to-output isolation, and touch currents of less than 100µA at 264Vac. All models comply with EN 55011-B (conducted and radiated) emissions and EN 61000-4-2 immunity standards.
