In order to meet the growing needs of the automotive market, Syfer Technology has improved the product range of its AEC-Q200 qualified equipment. In particular, its multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC's) and EMI filter products now have an expanded range.
An important feature in today's automotive applications is package size. Starting from the miniature 0603 size, all the way to 3640 pins, MLCCs in C0G and X7R dielectrics now offer capacitors ranging from 100pF to 4.7μF and operating voltages from 50V to 3kVDC.
The range of -55C to + 150C high temperature dielectric X8R has been extended from a working voltage of 50VDC to 3kVDC, which is one of the highest ratings on the market. The capacitance value has also been expanded from 270pF to 1μF (in the case of 2225, the maximum rated voltage is 3kVDC). The maximum capacitance change is ± 15% (without voltage applied), and the available tolerances are listed as ± 5%, 10%, and 20%. Package sizes are
unchanged from 0805 to 2225. The MLCC surge and safety types of C0G and X7R dielectrics are now available in the spectral range of 4.7pF to 22nF, and sizes are between 1808 and 2220. These AEC-Q200 certified parts are X1 certified. X2 and Y2 / X1 ratings depend on the type.
For critical EMI protection applications, the company offers X2Y (balanced line) and feedthrough filters that meet AEC-Q200 requirements. E03 and X2Y products can now specify capacitance values ??from 330pF to 560nF at rated voltages of 50V and 100V. In order to achieve on-board EMI protection, the E01 and E07 series of pass-through C filters are 3-terminal chip devices that provide lower inductance than traditional MLCCs used for signal line filtering. The product is now fully certified for the A0C-Q200's C0G and X7R dielectrics with chip sizes of 0805, 1206, and 1806. Capacitors range from 120pF to 68nF and are rated up to 100V. The standard current rating of all E01 models is 300mA, and the current rating of all E07 models is 1 to 3A.
To withstand harsh automotive applications, the patented FlexiCap terminal can be used on all of the company's AEC-Q200 products. The company said that this innovative termination material improves its resistance to the risk of mechanical stress cracking.
