And has added Tecate Group's new 3V TPLH series of small cell supercapacitors to its broad portfolio of TPL and TPLH 2.7V small cell supercapacitors.
The improvements in the new family of technologies are a direct result of appropriate innovations in electrode processing and packaging, while maintaining standard can sizes and standard pin-to-pin compatibility for custom cells and modules. And provides a path to higher voltages and higher energy densities within the same industry-standard battery footprint, saving space and potentially reducing the number of batteries required.
The new batteries feature ultra-high charge-discharge rates, superior stability, long cycle life and very high power density, making them useful in robotics, material handling, defense applications, consumer devices, handheld scanners, telematics, in-vehicle security video Backup systems and data center short-term power backup systems. And this series of supercapacitor batteries range from 4F to 100F, and are UL certified, RoHS and REACH compliant.
The supercapacitor battery has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +65°C (operating temperature is extended to +85°C and voltage drops to 2.7V), with an expected cycle life of 500,000 and a load life of 10 years.
