Fully digital and cost-effective temperature sensors are extremely accurate and provide industry leading lead times. The device is ideal for mass production and battery-powered designs, also due to its small size, cost-effectiveness, and low power consumption. The digital I2C interface is easy to operate, free from external signal interference, and the established production process ensures the highest reliability on site. Most importantly, it benefits from the high-tech engineering of a wide range of sensor components thanks to the company's CMOSens technology. Currently, the family includes the STS40, which has a temperature accuracy of ΔT = ±0.2C.
With a footprint of just 1.5mm x 1.5mm x 0.5mm3, the DFN package can be easily integrated into different applications. In addition, the wide range of power supply voltage from 1.08V to 3.6V and low current consumption of 0.4 μ A (once per second on average) enable the series to be used in battery drive designs. Overall, the series provides cost efficiency while maintaining the highest performance of its class of sensors. All sensors in the STS4x family offer top performance with enhanced signal processing, three unique I2C addresses and communication speeds up to 1MHz.
