     STMicroelectronics' IPS1025H, IPS1025H-32 and IPS1025HF are monolithic architectures with M0T5 VIPower technology in a PowerSSO-24 package. These ICs are single high-side switching devices that can drive capacitive, resistive, or inductive loads with one side grounded (high-side switches). The operating voltage is recommended to be in the range of 8 V to 60 V, but the breakdown voltage on the supply pins can reach 65 V.

     The difference between the IPS1025H and IPS1025H-32 devices is the internal setting of the current limit protection; all other electrical parameters are the same. The output stage is an N-channel power MOSFET with a typical RDS(ON) of 12.5 mΩ at room temperature, the minimum output current is internally limited to 2.5 A for the IPS1025H and 5.7 A for the IPS1025H-32.

   Both ICs are capable of setting two different current limit levels (ILIMH-X and ILIML-X) for intelligently driving loads such as light bulbs, as well as loads with an initial peak current demand such as capacitive loads. Embedded protection with two pairs of current limiting thresholds and levels (IPKH, ILIMH and IPKL, ILIML per DPK time) and integrated diagnostics enable a powerful machine with load (with initial peak current demand).
