The IDT7130/IDT7140 is high-speed 1K × 8 dual-port static ram. The IDT7130 is designed to be used as a standalone 8-bit dual-port RAM or as "primary" dual-port RAM with the IDT7140 "slave" dual-port for use in 16-bit or more word-wide systems. Using the IDT master/slave dual-port RAM method in storage system applications with 16 bits or more allows full speed, error-free operation without the need for additional discrete logic.
Functional Block Diagram
Both devices provide two separate ports with separate controls, addresses, and I/O pins, allowing independent asynchronous read/write access to any location in memory. The automatic power-off function controlled by CE allows the on-chip circuits in each port to enter a very low standby power mode. These devices are manufactured using CMOS high performance technology and typically require only 550mW of power. Low-power (LA) versions provide battery backup data retention capabilities, typically consuming 200µW of 2V battery per DualPort.
The IDT7130/IDT7140 devices are available in 48-pin side brazing or plastic dip, lcc, plate package, 52-pin PLCC, and 64-pin TQFP and STQFP packages. The military grade product is manufactured to comply with the latest revision of MIL-PRF-38535 QML, making it ideal for military temperature applications requiring the highest levels of performance and reliability.
