Recom has launched two new DIN rail power supply series, REDIN45 and REDIN60 with 45W and 60W power, respectively. During the development of the unit, special attention was paid to the use of high-quality components and ample design margins to ensure their longest durability and reliability, thereby ensuring their long-term trouble-free service life. The company stated that the idea behind them is "once and for all" because once installed, they never need any further attention.
The standard output voltage of PSU is 12VDC and 24VDC, which can be adjusted by the potentiometer on the front cover. The excellent line and load regulation functions of the REDIN series ensure a stable constant voltage output, which is signaled by the “DC-OK” light on the front panel. These modules are also equipped with voltage-free "DC-OK" contacts to directly control remote indicators or send signals to a central monitoring point. The contacts of multiple modules can be daisy-chained to generate a conventional "system power good" signal.
The operating temperature range is -20C to + 70C. High efficiency reaches 87%, and low standby loss (<0.5W) reduces energy consumption and heat generation. Most power failures are caused by input voltage surges and transients, so special attention should be paid to designing a rugged input filter. In addition, even in the case of unreliable power input, the long-term retention time at full load is 50ms, which can ensure stable output.
The power supply is equipped with many safety protection measures as standard configuration; in addition to short circuit and overcurrent protection with automatic restart function, they also have a blocking function to protect against overheating and overvoltage. They have passed UL's IEC / EN / UL60950, CE and UL508 full certification. The universal input voltage range of 85VAC to 264VAC and the altitude of up to 5000m mean that they are suitable for global use.
The compact DIN rail power supply measuring 88.6mm x 41.1mm x 101.4mm (LxWxH) saves DIN rail space because the modules can be installed next to each other without placing any space between the modules. As an alternative to end installation, the power supply can also be installed sideways for use in low-profile cabinets.
All REDIN power supplies are designed for 24/7 continuous operation. Therefore, the company stated that all modules have undergone 100% burn-in testing at full load and have undergone rigorous final inspections.
