Precision CMOS Operational Amplifiers in Small Packages

Technology Cover
Date de Parution: 2022-06-19

The Texas Instruments OPA3S328 CMOS op-amp, now available from the Mouser, provides high precision, low voltage, and low input bias current in a small package. The device provides integrated switches optimized for flexible cross-impedance applications. The device features low input bias current and low input capacitance, allowing low photocurrent operation (& LT; 1nA) to obtain high frequency transresistance gain.

CMOS operational amplifiers assemble integrated switches, low offset and track-to-rail output performance to facilitate high accuracy of current values across decades. Small packages and integrated switches allow devices to access selectable cross-impedance gains and help reduce the size of space-constrained applications.

The zero-crossing input technique available on the device allows flexibility in the input common-mode range to span the entire supply range with no offset skew. It provides enable-disable functionality for portable handheld applications in test and measurement. When disabled, the output impedance is typically 100GOhm, provided for wire-OR applications using multiple transimpedance channels.

Typical application areas include optical transmission dc interconnect, optical modules, optical network terminal units, small cell base stations, DMM and DAQ.
