UnitedSiC has upgraded its FEt-Jet Calculator. This new version (V2) significantly simplifies the selection process of SiC FETs and Schottky diodes, and simplifies the analysis of all power-related results. This simple, registrie-free online tool helps designers choose and compare the performance of a variety of power applications and 26 unique topologies. With more topologies available, FEt-Jet Calculator supports a wider range of power applications, making it available to anyone using SiC for the first time or to experienced designers exploring the best SiC devices to fit their designs.
The upgrade adds direct bar chart results showing loss and efficiency data, enabling engineers to identify the best equipment for AC/DC, DC-DC and DC-DCISO power designs. The optimum grid driver and buffer are proposed. Finally, once the preferred SiC solution has been identified, all input/output design information can simply be downloaded in PDF format.
"The goal of the FEt-Jet calculator has always been to make it as easy as possible to select the right device in the right power topology," commented Anup Bhalla, Vice President of Engineering at UnitedSiC. With these updates, we continue to remove barriers to conversion to SiC. "The intuitive user interface quickly displays the most important performance data to quickly weed out inappropriate equipment and speed up development."
