The LM285/LM385 series are micro-power dual-end bandgap voltage regulator diodes. These devices are designed to operate in a wide current range of 10 a to 20 mA, with extremely low dynamic impedance, low noise and stable operation over time and temperature. Strict voltage tolerances are achieved by on-chip fine-tuning.

The large dynamic operating range enables these devices to be used in a wide variety of power applications with good regulation. The extremely low operating current makes these devices ideal for micro-power circuits such as portable instruments, voltage regulators and other analog circuits that require extended battery life.

The LM285/LM385 series is packaged in a low-cost TO-226 plastic housing and is available in two voltage versions, 1.235V and 2.500V, indicated by the device suffix (see Order information sheet). The LM285 is rated from −40°C to +85°C, while the LM385 is rated from 0°C to +70°C. The LM385 is also available in a surface-mount plastic package with voltages of 1.235 V and 2.500 V.
