Murata Power Solutions announced MTC2 series 2w single output, regulated and isolated DC/DC converters. With 12 V (DC) or 24 V (DC) 2:1 input voltage range and output voltage of 3.3 V (DC), 5 V (DC), or 12 V (DC), surface mounted MTC2 has a 3 k V (AC) input/output isolation. The converter measures only 0.59 "x 0.56" x 0.44 "(14.99 mm x 14.22 mm x 11.23 mm), complies with UL/EN 60950 Enhanced Insulation Safety Standard for commercial equipment and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 Medical Safety Specification, and has 2 x MOOP (means of operator protection).
The output is adjusted to ± 0.5% of the rated output voltage, and the output voltage adjustment function allows ± 10% output adjustment to meet the needs of special applications. No additional regulating components are necessary. MTC2 can adapt to the 2:1 input range and may have a wide input voltage deviation. Remote on/off pins are available to help sort the design of power starts or enable application power savings. The continuous short-circuit protection function ensures that the load and equipment are not affected by short-circuit conditions.
