The MIC94060, MIC94061, MIC94062 and MIC94063 are high side load switches designed for operation between 1.7V and 5.5V. The device contains a low-resistivity P-channel MOSFET that supports continuous currents in excess of 2A. The MIC94061 and MIC94063 have active load discharge circuits that ensure that capacitive loads do not retain charge when the main switch is off.

Package Types

The MIC94060-61 has a fast turn-on feature, while the MIC94062-63 provides soft start turn-on with 800 μs(typical) rotary rate control to prevent inrush current from failing the supply track. Activate the active pull-down on the input to leave MIC94060-63 in the default OFF state until the EN pin is pulled to a high level. Built-in level drift circuits allow low-voltage logic signals to switch to higher supply voltages and vice versa; The high level logic signal can control the low level voltage.

Typical Application Circuits

The operating voltage range of the MIC94060-63 makes it suitable for 1-cell lithium-ion and 2-to-3-cell NiMH/NiCad/ alkaline power supply systems, as well as all 5V applications. Their low operating current is 2 μA and low closing current is <. 1 μA, maximizes battery life.
