Microchip RN2483 433 / 868MHz LoRa Integrated Module. The RN2483 is an integrated modem with a range of more than 15 kilometers (suburban areas), extremely low power consumption, and a battery life of more than ten years. This module enables wireless designers to maximize range and reduce power consumption without affecting both. The RN2483 operates on 433MHz and 868MHz bandwidths, which is a license-free Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) band. This module can connect millions of wireless sensor nodes to LoRa gateways and cloud servers for Internet of Things (IoT) applications and acts as an end device in the LorRa network infrastructure. This powerful system has a unique spread-spectrum-based modulation capability, which can demodulate signals below 20dB of noise level, thereby achieving ultra-long-distance high sensitivity and interference-free improved network efficiency. The modem includes secure AES-128 encryption, easy-to-use ASCII command interface via UART, adjustable output power up to + 14dBM, and 14 GPIOs for control, status, and ADC. The device complies with the European R & TTE directive and is RoHS compliant. The RN2483 uses a power supply voltage from 2.1V to 3.6V and can work in harsh outdoor environments from -40C to + 85C. RN2483 has mobility and scalability, powerful communication functions, and is ideal for a variety of low data rate wireless monitoring and control designs.
