Maxim's MAXM17503 series of high-efficiency DC-DC step-down power modules integrate many devices in a thin, thermally efficient system-in-package (SiP).
These modules integrate a switching power supply controller, dual n-channel MOSFET power switches, fully shielded inductors, and compensation components in a single package.
Each device operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 60V and provides continuous output current up to 2.5A. This provides excellent line and load regulation over an output voltage range of 0.9V to 12V. The device requires only five external components to complete the entire power solution. The company says that high integration significantly reduces design complexity, manufacturing risks, and provides a true plug-and-play power solution.
