LTC6363 is a new low-power, high-precision, fully differential amplifier from Linear Technology, optimized to drive high-performance 16-, 18-, and 20-bit SAR and ΔΣ ADCs. This device has a maximum input offset voltage of 100µV and an input reference voltage noise of 2.9nV / √Hz, and consumes only 19mW on a 10V power supply. It can convert single-ended signals to differential outputs, or it can be used in a fully differential manner. It only takes 780ns time to set the 8VP-P differential output step to 18-bit resolution. Four external resistors set the gain of the LTC6363. The highly matched LT5400 series quad resistors can be used to achieve excellent linearity. Whether configured for unity gain, higher gain, or attenuation, the LTC6363 is stable. The LTC6363 operates from a 2.8V to 11V power supply. Its output rail-to-rail swing and VOCM pins set the output common-mode voltage to best match the input range of precision 20-bit SAR ADCs such as the LTC2378-20. The LTC6363 is specified over the -40C to 85C and -40C to 125C temperature ranges and is available in MSOP-8 and 2mm x 3mm DFN packages.
