Lynred's new line of 12 micron products offers a higher level of performance for electro-optical systems that can more accurately identify objects in low-contrast scenes.

The company now offers enhanced capabilities across the full range of its 12µm infrared detectors to allow optoelectronic systems to accurately identify objects in low-contrast scenes. This 12µm pixel pitch infrared detector, based on microbolometer technology, offers enhanced thermal sensitivity, allowing use in limitless applications.

Applications include integration into outdoor leisure equipment for use at dawn or night. The company's new series of 12 μm microbolometers perfectly allow optoelectronic systems to provide end users with the image quality they need to observe nature in early forest fog and all-weather conditions

Microbolometers are an emerging standard for the manufacture of small thermal imaging cameras using space-saving optics. NETD is one of the key parameters used to evaluate the image quality of photoelectronic systems and thermal imaging cameras.

With these new products, customers can benefit from NETD performance below 40mK or 50mK, depending on product class and other performance criteria: scene dynamics and mechanical robustness.
