Hirose has expanded its rugged ix industrial connector range to include vertical receptacles. The ix80 series vertical sockets provide design flexibility for the next generation of industrial equipment manufacturers. This connector has a small, rugged design that can be used in most industrial environments and is available in two keyed versions for Ethernet (A Key) and non-Ethernet (B Key) applications.
The maximum size of the vertical socket is 11mm x 7.8mm x 9mm. Compared with the RJ45 solution, its installation space is reduced by up to 75%, and it is reduced by 28% compared with similar snap-in I / O connectors. The vertical socket I / O connector supports CAT5e and CAT6a cables, highlighting an optimized EMI / ESD shielding design for secure data transmission up to 10Gbps.
In accordance with IEC PAS 61076-3-124, this series can be used as the next-generation standard connector in industrial robots, factory automation controllers, programmable logic controllers, servo amplifiers, safety systems, servers, robots and other devices.
"The ix industrial series supports high-speed data transmission capabilities that enable the advancement of industrial equipment in smart manufacturing. We will continue to expand our product range to meet the needs of customers in this growing market." Said Bill Kysiak, product marketing manager at Hirose Electric USA.
