TDK incorporated the new HVC43 (B88269X3**0C011) family and expanded its range of bipolar DC high voltage contactors. These product contactors are available with 12V or 24V coils and consume 6W power, providing continuous current from 150ADC to 250ADC and operating voltage up to 1000VDC to complete the current range.
The new series models offer a compact size of 78mm × 40.4mm × 74.5mm(L × W × H), weigh 300g, are 30% smaller and lighter than the HVC200, HVC300 and HVC500 models, and can be used for voltages up to 1200VDC and continuous current up to 500ADC.
These contactors include a sealed inflatable ceramic arc chamber with excellent fire-extinguishing properties and are designed to quickly turn off the high direct current of lithium-ion batteries in vehicles, charging stations or energy storage systems.
Key applications include switching off high dc power from lithium-ion batteries in vehicles, charging stations and energy storage systems.
