Four-voltage monitor in µMAX package

Technology Cover
Date de Parution: 2023-02-07, Maxim Integrated

The MAX6338 quad voltage monitor is capable of monitoring up to four power supplies without any external components. In a 10-pin µMAX® package. A variety of factory-adjusted threshold voltages and power supply tolerances can be used to optimize the MAX6338 for specific applications. The selection includes input options for monitoring voltages of +5.0V, +3.3V, +3.0V, +2.5V, +1.8V and -5.0V.

Typical Operating Circuit

An additional high input impedance comparator option can be used as an adjustable voltage monitor, a universal comparator, or a digital level converter. Each monitored voltage has a jump gate threshold to support a power supply tolerance of 5% or 10% below the nominal voltage. Internal bandgap reference ensures accurate trip thresholds over the extended operating temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). The MAX6338 consumes 25µA(typical) supply current and operates at +2.5V to +5.5V.

When the VCC falls below the minimum operating voltage, the internal undervoltage locking circuit forces all four digital outputs low. All four digital outputs have weak internal pull-up to the VCC, allowing wire or connections. Each input threshold voltage has an independent output.
