Fairchild's FGD3325G2_F085 EcoSPARK 2 N-channel ignition IGBT is used in applications such as automotive ignition coil driver circuits and plug-and-play coil systems. The device is designed with Fairchild's EcoSPARK-2 technology, which helps eliminate external protection circuits. This technology is optimized to drive coils in the harsh environment of automotive ignition systems, and also has excellent Vsat and SCIS energy capabilities at higher operating temperatures. Logic level gate inputs are ESD protected and have integrated gate resistance. The integrated Zener circuit clamps the collector-emitter voltage of the IGBT at 250V, which makes the system require higher spark voltage.
