The Exar XRP6274 series of ultra-low dropout regulators are capable of delivering 2A output current and are "unique" in the industry, capable of operating on a single power rail from 1.045V to 2.625V without the need for a noise-generating charge pump, the company said.
The XRP6274 "guarantees" an ultra-low dropout voltage of 140mV over the entire temperature range, enabling conversions previously impossible. The output voltage of the XRP6274 can be set as low as 0.6V with an accuracy of ± 0.5%, making it ideal for powering low-voltage devices such as FPGAs, DSPs, ASICs, and other SOCs.
Built-in current limit, reverse bias and thermal protection ensure safe operation under abnormal operating conditions. The enable function, soft start and power good flags complete the feature set. The XRP6274 is available in a RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, 10-pin 3mm x 3mm DFN package.
