Mouser has announced its exclusive sponsorship of the Hall of Fame at the First Robotics Competition Championship, and the company will also sponsor the pits for the First Robotics Competition, where teams set up camps and operate their robots throughout the competition. The Hall of Fame showcases the past winners of the First Robotics Competition Chairman's Award, recognizing that year's team for providing imitation models for other teams and best embodying First's purpose and goals. Dates are set for April 20-23 in Houston.

The company was a major co-sponsor of FIRST, a Robotics tournament in Texas /UIL earlier this month. It also supports the community's FIRST team, providing funding for the local high school team.

Kevin Hess, Mouser's senior vice president of marketing said:"Education has been a key aspect of Mouser's mission since our inception," “We are very excited to once again sponsor the FIRST Robotics Competition, which we have proudly supported for many years. The organization provides students around the world with a platform for innovation, an opportunity to learn valuable engineering skills, and an opportunity to develop character and self-esteem ."

Each team can use a parts kit system with limited instructions, including the control system, motors, batteries, personal computer and some automation components. The team converts these various parts into working robots to complete specific tasks within a defined time.
