Diodes Inc. AP4370 decoding IC is compatible with Qualcomm High Voltage Dedicated Charging Port (HVDCP) Quick Charge (QC) 2.0 protocol. The device decodes different combinations of D + / D – signals generated by portable devices into V1 / V2 configurations for charger and adapter applications. This can be used to change the reference voltage or divider resistor of the controller IC for further constant voltage / constant current control. AP4370 has an over-voltage discharge function, which can accelerate the transition of the output voltage drop. It automatically provides a 5V output configuration for connected portable devices, which is not compatible with the Qualcomm QC 2.0 protocol. AP4370 is available in TSOT26 and SOT26 packages.
