Date de Parution: 2022-07-11, APEM Inc.

Atmel Corporation has released the Atmel maXTouch mXT112E controller optimized for 2.8- to 3.5-inch touchscreens for feature phones, digital cameras, global positioning systems (GPS), game consoles and other large Fast-growing consumer markets such as bulk products. The Atmel maXTouch mXT112E includes a variety of proven features of the maXTouch E series controllers that are precisely tailored to meet the needs of these new and cool consumer products.

The Atmel maXTouch mXT112E enables true single-layer touchscreens, resulting in thinner, lighter and brighter touchscreens. Similar to Atmel's E-Series products, the new devices feature state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms to mitigate noise from a wider range of LCD displays, ambient noise, and noise interference from after-market chargers.

The Atmel maXTouch mXT112E allows up to four simultaneous touches, a level of performance previously seen only in the smartphone market. Similar to other Atmel maXTouch E-series products, its advanced touch processing technology rejects unintentional touches caused by hand-holding, while correctly reflecting light touches in gestures made by the device. Unlike competing solutions, it supports narrow, passive stylus input, allowing input to be sensed correctly even when the user's hand rests on the screen in a natural writing state. All of these features, combined with Atmel's industry-leading power consumption characteristics, enable extended battery life and excellent responsiveness at read rates up to 250Hz.

Helen Francis, senior marketing manager at Atmel, said: "With the proliferation of touchscreens in smartphones and tablets, consumers are demanding touchscreen functionality in almost all consumer products. The introduction of the Atmel mXT112E helps meet this demand. demand to provide consumers with an intuitive experience using "touch-smart-phone", including longer battery life, superior touch performance, and a more intuitive application interface for applications such as digital cameras, feature phones, and GPS.
