Analog device six input channel analog front end

Technology Cover
Date de Parution: 2022-12-13, Analog Devices Inc.

The AD73360 is a six-input channel analog front-end processor suitable for general purpose applications such as industrial power metering or multi-channel analog inputs. Packaged with 28-pin SOIC and 44-pin TQFP, it has six 16-bit A/D conversion channels, each providing 77 dB signal-to-noise ratio over dc to 4 kHz signal bandwidth. Each channel also features a programmable input gain amplifier (PGA) with gain Settings in 8 stages, from 0 dB to 38 dB.

The AD73360 is particularly suitable for industrial power metering because each channel is sampled synchronously, ensuring no (phase) delay between conversions. The AD73360 also has low group delay conversions on all channels. The reference voltage on the chip is included, and can be programmed to accommodate 3v or 5v operation.

The device's sampling rate is programmable in four different Settings, providing 64khz, 32khz, 16khz and 8 kHz sampling rates (from the 16.384 MHz master clock). The serial port (SPORT) makes it easy to connect a single or cascading device to an industry standard DSP engine. The SPORT transfer rate is programmable, allowing interfaces to both fast and slow DSP engines.
