Analog Semiconductor ADE9153 Automatic Calibration of Electricity Metering IC

Technology Cover
Date de Parution: 2022-10-24, Analog Devices Inc.

Analog Semiconductor ADI's ADE9153 is a single-phase electricity metering automatic calibration IC mSure automatic calibration function that allows the instrument to automatically calibrate the current and voltage channels. When accurate sources or accurate reference instruments are not used, shunt resistors are used as current sensors. Levels 1 and 2 are automatically calibrated by mSure. The ADE9153 integrates three high-performance analog-to-digital converters (adcs) to provide 88 dB signal to noise ratio (SNR).

ADE9153 provides a set of advanced measurement functions, such as line voltage and current, active energy, basic reactive energy and apparent energy calculation, as well as current and voltage root mean square calculation. ADE9153 includes power quality measurement, such as zero crossing detection, line cycle calculation, angle measurement, dip and swell, peak value and overcurrent detection, and power factor measurement. Each input channel supports independent and flexible gain stages.

The current channel A is the ideal choice for diverters, with flexible gain stages and a full range input range from 62.5 mV peak to 26.04 mV peak. The gain stage of current channel B is 1 ×, two × And 4 ×, For current transformers. The high-speed 10 MHz serial peripheral interface (SPI) port allows access to the ADE9153 register.
