Analog Decices LTC3310S is a very small, low-noise, monolithic buck DC/DC converter that can provide up to 10 a of output current from 2.25 V to 5.5 V of input power. This part adopts a silent switcher 2 structure with an internal thermal loop bypass capacitor to achieve low EMI and high efficiency at switching frequencies up to 5 mhz. For systems with high power requirements, polyphase parallel converters are easy to realize.
The LTC3310S adopts a constant frequency peak current mode control architecture for fast transient response. The 500 mV reference voltage allows low voltage output. One hundred percent duty cycle operation provides low exit.
Other functions include good power signal, accuracy enable threshold, output overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown, temperature monitor, clock synchronization, mode selection and output short-circuit protection when the output is under adjustment. The device is available in a compact 18 pin 3mm x 3mm LQFN package.
