The Amphenol Pcd µCom-10Gb + series is designed to meet the demand for small connectors with fast transmission speeds and high resistance to extreme environments, now including push-pull types. Sockets and push-in sockets are compatible with threads and push-pull plugs. These mini-connectors have a maximum length of 15mm and have passed the environmental protection tests of MIL-DTL-38999 Series III military specifications and MIL-DTL-26482 push-pull military specifications. Even in the harshest environments, its outer diameter can exceed 10 Gb / s according to IEEE 802.3an-2006.
The rugged IP68 design uses four pairs of fully insulated twisted pair wires throughout the connector to minimize crosstalk and a special patent pending interface shape to minimize interference. The threaded connection mechanism has high vibration resistance. The design provides IP68 sealing for mated and unmated sockets, with 500 hours of salt spray resistance, a maximum of 24 AWG per solder contact, a maximum of 24 AWG to 26 AWG per pressure contact point, and a temperature range of -55C to + 125C Within 1500Vrms dielectric withstand voltage.
Typical applications include defense, aviation, rail transit, passenger information systems and communications systems.
