The advanced cooling solution clipKIT radiator fixing system can be used with most industry standards, including off-the-shelf straight fin, pin fin, cross-fin or diagonal fin radiators. The company said it has improved the performance of heat sinks in heat transfer as well as resistance to vibration and shock.
The clipKIT system includes a series of patented and reliable radiator connection assemblies with widely used maxiGRIP and superGRIP frame clamps and spring clamps. They can be used in 15-45mm component packages and are designed for heat sinks with a base thickness of 1.75mm to 4mm.
The reliable clip fixing system does not need to rely on thermal tape or epoxy (which will damage the circuit board or components during rework), but provides a reliable fixing without the risk of damaging the PCB, thereby saving time and cost. Ultra-thin plastic frame clips and stainless steel spring clips are corrosion-resistant, flame-retardant and pass Telecordia's shock and vibration standards to ensure that the radiator is securely fixed in place.
ClipKIT accessories do not need to drill holes on the PCB, which saves valuable space on the PC and enables high-density wiring. Compared with pushpin attachments or fixed hardware, the thin frame clamps occupy the smallest space around the component, while there is almost no space on the already crowded PCB. The company says the two-part connection system provides uniform force, which enhances heat transfer and improves TIM performance by as much as 20%.
